Britt Is Looking Forward To Seeing You At Branson

The 2005 annual AAPG Foundation Trustee Meeting dates of October 12-16 are rapidly approaching! Branson is a casual and friendly city, so come prepared to relax and enjoy all the Ozarks have to offer. We have planned many events you won’t want to miss and, of course, meeting with friends is always especially enjoyable. With any luck, the fall colors should add greatly to the ambiance of the Ozark Dome.

A John Q. Hammons Hotel, Chateau on the Lake was designed with the discriminating traveler in mind. Visitors to this grand Branson resort – known by locals as the “Castle in the Ozarks” -- experience the finest in world-class hospitality, first-class Branson lodging and the enchanting charm of the Chateau’s personal touches.

Golfers will be welcomed to the Tom Fazio-designed Branson Creek Golf Club. Etched into the Ozark mountainside, Branson Creek flows through these Ozark Hills like a magnificent running stream with ever-changing banks guarding its way. Two exhilarating days of golf are planned.

For those planning to go fishing, both guided and self-guided trout fishing will be available on Thursday at Dogwood Canyon. You won’t be disappointed because the spring-fed water is home to beautiful rainbow trout. On Saturday, half-day bass fishing on Table Rock Lake will begin promptly at 6:00 a.m. at the Chateau Marina.

Additional events include a geological field trip led by Dr. Charles Mankin, a presentation by Bob Esser on the current state of worldwide gas resources, a tennis tournament, the Branson Belle Showboat cruise and a “Slice of the Ozarks/Branson” Tour. Several entertaining evening shows have been reserved including the Andy Williams/Petula Clark Show, Shoju Tubuchi Show and the Cirque Show.

See you in Branson!

Terry Britt, Trustee Associate Chairman 2005
