Fundraising and Fun-Raising

The AAPG Foundation Trustees met on August 21-22 in Dallas to review and implement the fundraising plan developed by the steering committee and staff with recommendations from our fundraising consultant, Kent Stroman. They approved the budget for the Foundation fundraising program which includes the hiring of a full-time fundraising campaign coordinator and part-time fundraising consultant. This is a milestone in the development of the program and will set the fundraising plan into full gear.

The first step is to develop a survey to test the plan. This will be executed by the fundraising consultant as a third party. The next step is to compose the Fundraising Campaign Committee.

We are excited about the program and we will provide more information on our progress when we meet in Branson and in the Fall newsletter.

Branson is a very scenic location in the Ozarks. It is no longer “Hillbilly Village,” and has Las Vegas-quality shows, beautiful golf courses, fantastic fishing and excellent geology. We hope to see you there!
