Foundation Update

Congratulations to the 2012-2013 L. Austin Weeks Undergraduate recipients! The AAPG Foundation awarded 59 grants. The disbursement of the grant consists of $500 per qualified AAPG Student Chapter and $500 per selected undergraduate student. The grant award is used to support geoscience-related educational activities.

Dr. Charles J. “Charlie” Mankin, 80, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, in Norman. Charlie was raised in west Texas and received three degrees in geology from the University of Texas and had a post-doctoral position at Cal Tech.
