The AAPG Foundation Trustees welcome Paul Strunk and Ray Thomasson to the board.

A team of geoscience students from The University of Texas at Austin beat finalists from 11 global regions to win the Imperial Barrel Award, the world’s largest and most prestigious competition in petroleum geosciences hosted annually by AAPG.

Thank you to Paul and Deanna Strunk for their generous donation of $51,000 supporting the Paul and Deana Strunk Geology Fellowship.

The AAPG Foundation has learned that sadly, Penni Caughey, wife of AAPG member Chuck Caughey, has passed away.

David G. Rensink, AAPG President (2010-11), has joined the AAPG Foundation Trustee Associates. Rensink is a consultant out of Houston. He retired from Apache Corp in 2009.
