Undergraduate Geology Departments & Student Chapters

L. Austin Weeks Undergraduate Grant Application Now Online 

Deadline December 16, 2013

The L. Austin Weeks Undergraduate Grant program awards deserving geoscience students and university departments or AAPG Student Chapters with $1,000 in financial funding. The award is shared between a nominated student and his or her respective geology department or student chapter. Applicants and university geology departments or student chapters awarded will receive $500 each.

This grant supports educational expenses, such as field equipment, field trips, conferences and other academic ventures. Submit an application on behalf of your geology department today.

Talk to your AAPG Student Chapter president or department representative about applying for this grant, available for undergraduate students and their geology departments.

Limit one $1,000 grant per university student and geology department.

Now Accepting Applications for 2014 Grants-in-Aid

Deadline January 31, 2014

The AAPG Foundation’s Grants-in-Aid program promotes higher education and research in the geosciences. Available grants range from $500-$3,000 and are available to assist graduate students enrolled in Masters or Ph.D programs whose thesis research has application to the geosciences.
