In 2012, the American Association of Petroleum Geologists Foundation awarded $175,000 to 84 of 310 applicants through its Grants-in-Aid program. The program includes special grants named in recognition of the following individuals and institutions that have made substantial contributions to the Foundation, petroleum and energy-mineral sciences, teaching or research. These grants are restricted to geology graduate students.
