The Inspirational Geoscience Educator Award, given annually by the AAPG Foundation, is granted to a college or university professor who has has shown outstanding academic leadership and works to inspire the future of geoscience.
The application cycle for this award opens January 15 and closes March 15 of each year. Student and faculty nominations are accepted and encouraged for this award. Review the requirements and guidelines for this award.
The award is intended to honor a geoscience professor who has inspired students to love geoscience and motivated them to pursue geological careers.
Inspirational Geoscience Educator Award recipients receive a $6,000 award, recognition at AAPG's Annual Convention and Exhibition (ACE), and a beautiful commemorative plaque acknowledging the achievement.
