The AAPG Foundation Trustees have named Bob Ardell and Mike Wisda as the 2014 Trustee Associates Service Award recipients. Awards will be presented at the 2014 Trustee Associates Annual Meeting in Austin, Texas in September.

Meet Emilio Jose Torres Parada. Emilio, a student at the University of Oklahoma, received a 2013 Grants-in-Aid award thanks to the Jon R. Withrow Named Grant. Because of his tremendous success with his research on unconventional gas shale assessment of the La Luna Formation in South America, Emilio was awarded the John R. Withrow Named grant two years in a row.

The AAPG Foundation sponsored an opportunity for young professionals and students to attend the 2013 AAPG Rocky Mountain Section meeting and to take an educational field trip. The meeting and trip, organized by RMS and Utah Geological Survey, invited youth on a field trip the Sunday before the RMS meeting.
